Samuel Beckett Civic Campus Phase 2
Status: Phase 2 Project 2a - Ballyogan Library including fit out - Construction
Phase 2 Project 2b - Sports Campus including swimming pool - At Part 8 public consultation
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has been awarded a €5m grant under the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund scheme. This funding will be used for Phase 2 of the Samuel Beckett Civic Campus. This phase will include:
- A multi-purpose sports building including sports hall, children's and 25m swimming pools, dance studio, and a gym
- A two-storey library
- A two-storey car park
- A hard landscaped Civic Plaza
Ballyogan Library including fit out. Work commenced on site on the 14th August and the expected completion is June 2024. Opening is expected later in the year when staff resources are in place and fit-out is complete.
