Graduate Engineer 

Contract type: Temporary - 2 year contract

Location: Reside in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council functional area or within a reasonable distance thereof

Employing authority: Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council

 

Graduate engineers will get hands-on experience:

  • Working with a multidisciplinary team to execute major infrastructure projects.
  • Working with both direct labour operations staff and our supply chain to deliver a range of projects and services.
  • Site survey activities, preparation of tender documentation, contract award and management of contracts.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of programmes and budgets.
  • Support site supervisory staff in the management of outdoor operational crews.
  • Interface and build relationships with elected members, community groups and key stakeholders.
  • Promote and contribute to a culture where Health & Safety is at the core, ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Prepare relevant health and safety and operational documentation.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems.
  • Facilitate and input into scheme design and construction methodology.
  • Progress reporting and recording of site activities.
  • Work with engineering staff on process improvements and developments to enhance efficiencies.
  • Work in accordance with public works suite of contracts.
