Join us for an easy guided cycle exploring the heritage along the Slang Greenway from Dundrum to Marlay Park.
Join the DLR Heritage Officer, Deirdre Black, on an easy guided cycle along the Slang Greenway from Dundrum to Marlay Park. Enjoy new viewpoints on this part of Dublin and hear about the creative innovation of Dun Emer Industries, Slang River nature, local cycling champions, views to mountain top monuments and historic Marlay House. Assemble at the Ardglas entrance to the Slang Greenway and finish at Marlay Park.

The Bike Hub is popping up all over Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County for Bike Week! Mechanics will be available for free safety checks on your bike and will let you know if you’re ready to cycle into summer.
The Bike safety check is an inspection of a bicycle to ensure that it is in good working condition and safe for riding. During a safety check, a technician will inspect various components of the bike, such as the brakes, tyres, wheels, pedals, chain, gears, and handlebars, among others.

These FREE sessions aim to give people an accessible way of experiencing the Three Rock Mountains and exploring the great outdoors on Dublin’s doorstep.
Riders will be shown the tracks and trails of Three Rock Mountain in an enjoyable way with magnificent skyline views of Dublin city and the east coastline of Ireland.
The National Mountain Bike Trail centre at Ticknock is one of the best Mountain biking sites in Ireland, offering graded trails of Blue, Red and Black, so all levels of Mountain biking experience are catered for.

Saturday expands with Beginner Men’s Coaching running (10am–1pm) and Women’s beginner coaching in the afternoon (2pm–5pm), alongside dedicated Beginner Youth (12+) sessions at the same times, morning and afternoon, each with 8 participants.

Introduction to Mountain Biking at Ticknock National Mountain Bike Trail Centre on Saturday, 16th May.
These FREE sessions aim to introduce Mountain biking as a means of fun, exercise, and exploring the great outdoors that Dublin has on its doorstep.
Riders will be taught the fundamental skills for navigating the MTB trails in a safe and enjoyable way. They will also take a tour of Three Rock Mountain, which offers magnificent skyline views of Dublin city and the east coastline of Ireland.
The National Mountain Bike Trail centre at Ticknock is one of the best Mountain biking sites in Ireland, offering newly opened graded trails of Blue, Red and Black, so all levels of Mountain biking experience are catered for.

Join us for “Bike Bop: Dún Laoghaire Active Travel Celebration 16th May”, a bees and butterflies themed event celebrating Bike Week and Biodiversity Week, hosted by the Dun Laoghaire cycling community!
Walk, wheel, or cycle together along a short scenic route through Dún Laoghaire – meeting at Clarinda Park at 2 pm, heading up George’s Street, and finishing in the heart of the town at Myrtle Square – where you’ll enjoy complimentary ice-cream for kids, refreshments, music, and eco-friendly activities. This is a community-focused event designed for all ages, encouraging sustainable travel, outdoor fun, and a greener future.

Adventures Ahoy Mateys!
Assemble your team and join our cycling treasure hunt.
Follow the clues, decipher the ancient map, and pedal along Dún Laoghaire’s Coastal Mobility Route to collect stamps and find the hidden treasure!
Maps available from the DLR Tourism Office on Sunday, 17th, from 10 am.
Finish by 4 pm to collect a prize. Costumes encouraged.
