Training Day for Healthcare Professionals in Arts and Health
We offered a free training session for healthcare professionals in Arts and Health on Wednesday 12 March.
This opportunity was for staff who were interested in or were already engaging artists/creatives in their care settings.
The deadline for applications has now passed.
This ‘hands-on’ and practical training facilitated by Sarah Cairns and Tess Leak was open to all healthcare staff working with older people in our County. It explored how arts projects can be inclusive of older people with cognitive and other differences. Participants also received vital dementia and communications training specific to the area of Arts and Health.
- Wednesday 12 March, 10.30am- 3.30pm (tea/coffee and lunch provided)
- dlr LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin.
- Free to all attendees
In addition, we offered the opportunity for all attendees to apply for one of four fully funded Creative Projects that would allow healthcare staff to apply the learning. Please note that a staff member must attend the training session for your care setting to take part.
If you are interested in attending, please fill out the application form and send it back by email to dlr Arts Office arts@dlrcoco.ie by 12 noon, Tuesday 25 February or by post:
