The Makers Exchange, Studio Project at Dún Laoghaire Baths

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is excited to partner with The Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown Older People’s Council (dlr OPC) on this studio project for professional designers/makers and older people.

We welcome applications from individual designers and makers; we also welcome applications from designers and makers who wish to work together as a pair. We will support designers/makers to develop their craft practice with older people in the County. The designers/makers will receive a monthly fee to support their practice, a materials budget, and a training stipend. We will offer full access to a studio in dlr Baths from early October 2026 for 14 months. It will give the space and time to create their work.

Key Dates:

  • The deadline for questions is 1pm, Friday 4 September
  • The deadline for applications is 1pm, Monday 7 September.
  • We will host a visit to the Studio on Thursday 30 July at 2pm.
