Brain Health Gallery Tours
Our popular Brain Health Gallery Tours in the Gallery, dlr LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire are back. If you are booking a group from a residential care setting we will also arrange tours at a time and date that suits your residents. We can also offer online experience if that suits the needs of participants best.
Tour Description
The tours are designed for anyone who is interested in promoting their brain health, anyone who notices changes in their memory and anyone living with dementia. Julie Merriman, Claire Halpin and Órla Goodwin are trained to support people living with dementia. They will facilitate these sessions to ensure an inclusive experience. They will guide the group through selected artworks from the current exhibition in dlr Municipal Gallery.
A family member/carer or friend are welcome to accompany the attendee.
The group will explore and discuss a selection of artworks with time at the end for all involved to enjoy a cup of tea and chat about the experience.
Tours can be booked as a group booking for nursing homes or booked by individuals.
These tours and free and funded by the HSE/dlr County Council Arts and Health Partnership and supported by the Azure Network.
