Primary Arts Programme

Dún Loaghaire-Rathdown County Council is running one of the longest Artists in Schools Programmes in Ireland, we first created this programme in 1994.

We've been working in partnership with Blackrock Education Centre since 2008 on this programme.

We match professional artists with a primary school class and teacher to explore creativity in the classroom.

Professional development for teachers is one of the main features of this programme.

Artists can be from different artforms.

For example we work with dancers, writers, musicians, visual artists and architects.

Check out our blog for inspiring projects!
