Housing Delivery Programme Update

The Iveagh Trust is Ireland’s oldest provider of social housing with years of experience in delivering homes across Dublin. With over 1,000 units across Dublin City and a significant presence on the Northside, this was the Iveagh Trust’s first venture into Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.

In July, the partnership resulted in the delivery of high-quality, A-rated homes, close to wonderful amenities and excellent public transport links, for 44 individuals and families. Rory Guinness, Chairman of the Trust and great-great-grandson of its founder says:

We are thrilled to see people moving into such wonderful new homes in this fantastic location. For over a century the Iveagh Trust has used the same model of on-the-ground management and a focus on people to build successful communities, and we are looking forward to carrying on that tradition in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.

Our Director of Housing, Catherine Keenan, added:

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is committed to meeting our housing delivery target of 1,563 social housing units by 2021, through implementation of Rebuilding Ireland: Action Plan for Housing and Homelessness. We were delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Iveagh Trust to provide much-needed homes for families and individuals in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. We will continue to utilise the provisions of Part V to increase the level of social housing provided as an integral part of new housing developments.”
