Shanganagh Park Masterplan Phase 1 Update

Last month, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (DLRCC) held a series of public consultation sessions on the proposed plans for Phase 1 development of Shanganagh Park.
 

To ensure this process included as many members of the Shankill community as possible, workshops were held with local schools, residents, and sports clubs as well as two public information sessions in Woodbrook College on the 17th and 21st January. These sessions were well attended, and we thank everyone who participated and shared their opinions on the proposed plans for a new active recreation zone in the park.
 

The feedback from these sessions has been consolidated into a report by Connect the Dots, community and stakeholder engagement consultants hired by DLRCC to facilitate the consultation process.

A revision of the plans presented at these sessions is being considered by DLRCC for the next phase of consultation. Another public consultation session will be held at this stage, giving the community a further opportunity to speak with DLRCC representatives about the revised plans and to share their opinions.
