Local Volunteers Needed for Frog Migration on Barnacullia Road

General News
Public Notices

Update: Volunteers are now fully booked, thank you for your support!

The local residents of Barnacullia Road along with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and the Herptological Society of Ireland would ask road users to slow down when approaching the road during the frog and toad migration period in March 2023.

If you wish to help and live locally, please contact the HSI at info@thehshi.org for further information and to sign up as a local patrol volunteer for this Wednesday, March 22nd, from 8pm until 10pm to assist any frogs and toads crossing the area.

Please don’t turn up unannounced as you will not be covered under health and safety and our assessment protocols. You may also unintentionally add to the patrol leaders' workload on a busy night.

We would like to thank the staff in our Traffic section for assisting in traffic calming measures and traffic management.
