Help us plant trees at Fernhill Park & Gardens

Dlr Parks are planting a small community woodland in the Fernhill Park on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of March.

We will gather from 10am and will continue to plant until 3pm each day. We have approx. 4000 young native trees to plant (Oak, Birch, Hazel, Hawthorn). We have tools and some gloves but if volunteers have their own gloves it would be best to bring your own.

Hopefully the beginning of Spring will be good to us and the sun will be out. However, wrap up and wear sturdy shoes, bring a drink and snacks to keep you going. Encourage neighbours and family, there should be plenty of volunteers, so we hope it will be a fun day out.
