Suspension of the Sweeping Schedule - October 2022

The dlr road sweeping schedule shall be temporarily suspended due to heavy leaf fall around the county.This will take effect on Wednesday, 26th of October 2022.

During the Autumn and Winter months each year, we suspend our sweeping schedule and deploy the entire road sweeping operation with the support of numerous other Cleansing units to focus on leaf collection throughout the county.

We target areas with higher densities of trees and vegetation for more frequent sweeping. In particular, areas sensitive to flooding, highly pedestrianised areas, cycle lanes and busy roads are prioritised. In addition, requests for service from the public also are prioritised.
