A Status Red Weather Warning for Storm Éowyn has been issued by Met Eireann, effective from 6am until 12 noon on Friday, 24 January.
Storm Eowyn will bring severe, damaging and extremely destructive gusts in excess of 130km/h.
People are encouraged to take shelter during the storm as Storm Éowyn will bring a danger to life.
Other expected impacts include fallen trees, wave overtopping, disruption and cancellation of public transport, and widesparead power outages.
