Refugee Week 2026
dlr Refugee Week 2026 - theme of ‘Courage’
Refugee Week Ireland 2026 is an annual festival where we celebrate compassion and connection, and everyone is welcome. This year marks 75 years since the adoption of the Refugee Convention, the international agreement affirming that people forced to flee have the right to protection, dignity, and hope.
Through a collective programme of community events and culture, art exhibitions, sports, performances, food, panel events and gatherings, dlr Refugee Week brings people from different backgrounds together to foster a deeper understanding of why people are displaced and the challenges they face when seeking safety, as well as celebrating communities who welcome them.
The dlr Refugee Week programme is coordinated by the dlr Local Authority Integration Team and see highlights and links to all events below.
