dlr Arts Grants Scheme
dlr Grants are available annually to provide financial assistance to individual artists, arts groups, community groups, older persons groups and arts organisations engaged in arts projects or events at local or county level and to support the professional development and arts practice of individual artists.

This timeline does not include second rounds of funding which might occur.
Application online portal
All grants are now processed through an online portal called Submit. To use the portal you will need to set up a profile before applying for a grant. This profile will be used for all your future applications with dlr. If you are applying as a group please make sure that the email address being used is accessible to more than one member. This ensures that if there are any changes to staffing or members leaving, the profile/account can still be accessed by the group.

Professional Development Arts Grant:
This grant is to support the professional development of individual artists in any artform (music, theatre dance, film, visual art, literature, architecture, circus, craft, opera, street art or traditional arts)
*The Professional Development Grant is under consideration for a new application date.
Arts Access for Older People Grant:
This grant is to support older persons groups to participate in arts activities in the DLR County.
Arts Activity, Project, Event or Collaboration Grant:
This grant helps artists, groups, and organisations pay for arts-related events, festivals, projects, regular arts activities or collaborations happening in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. Applications are accepted in any kind of art: music, theatre, dance, film, literature, visual arts, architecture, circus, craft, opera, street art, or traditional arts. Collaborations between artists and communities are also welcome.
Arts Grants for Communities (previously "Community Arts Grants"):
This grant is to support community arts activity in the County. This could be planning art workshops, an exhibition of art by a local community, a performance by a local amateur group and need help with these costs.
Elevate Arts Grant - Develop your practice:
This new grant will support professional artists who work in socially engaged or collaborative arts practice with disabled people of all ages. This opportunity is funded by the Arts Council. Socially engaged/collaborative artists work with people to create art. They involve communities in debate, collaboration, and/or social interaction to create art over long periods of time.
Elevate Arts Grant- Creating Inclusive Opportunities:
This new grant is to support groups of disabled people of all ages to create an art project with a socially engaged/collaborative artist.

Amateur and Voluntary Performing Arts Grant:
This is a new grant to support the activity of medium to large amateur and voluntary performing arts groups in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County. Groups must have at least 11 active members all over 18 years old.
More information on each grant will be available once applications are open mid-September.
