Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council would like to thank all the artists who entered the competition this year and those of you who could join us for a festive evening at the Recycling Christmas Decoration Ceremony. The judges were blown away by the entries this year and it was a pleasure to meet the minds behind the creative masterpieces. Through your hard work you have saved Christmas from unnecessary waste by transforming unused household items into fantastic festive decorations that will light up your homes for years to come.
We were delighted to announce at our Recycling Christmas Decoration Ceremony that Cara Kilroy from 2nd class in Rathfarnham Educate Together NS, awarded the overall winner’s trophy for her fantastic decoration ‘Robin on a Perch’, featuring a life-like robin crafted from an old pillow and fabric scraps. With such stiff competition with so many fantastic entries we are proud to display all decorations received in our pdf slideshow gallery below to show the county what is possible with a little imagination! This year we are delighted to share a booklet featuring the instructions and materials for crafting these fantatisc decorations to share the recycled Christmas Cheer!
