Join Nathalie and Diane from social enterprise The Sustainable Life School for this informal and social 4 week series to learn every day easy changes you can make to live more sustainably and connect with others on the journey.
This feel-good programme will leave you feeling motivated and empowered to make the changes that will positively impact you and our planet whilst saving money. Together we will learn how to be more sustainable in the areas of fashion, food, energy and reducing packaging.
Wed 13 Sept: Life with less plastic
Reducing plastic is not a one glove fits all, Nathalie
and Diane will show you how it can be adapted
to what’s accessible, feasible and budget-friendly
for you. In this session you will leave with tips and
ideas on how to start or get more ambitious about
shopping and living package free.
Wed 20 Sept: Sustainable Wardrobe
In this session, learn about the social &
environmental issues associated with the fashion
industry and feel motivated to use your power as a
consumer to drive change. Get all the tips on how to
source sustainable clothes, what to do with the ones
you no longer want and how to care for the ones you
love.
Wed 27 Sept: Cosy Homes, Save Energy
In this session we will look at the easy everyday
actions you can take to help you save energy whilst
creating a more sustainable home. We will also
demonstrate how to use Codema’s Home Energy
Saving kits available to borrow from your local dlr
Library.
Wed 4 Oct: Climate-Friendly Food
Learn about the connection between climate
change and food, what is climate-friendly eating
and how our food choices can have a positive
impact on the planet. You will also leave with plenty
of tips on how to reduce food waste. New plantbased
recipes will be shared.
