Event Description

Have you ever seen a fish on a bicycle? Join The Bike Hub and the Green Roots Project on an ocean-themed costumed spin around Dun Laoghaire. Bring your own costume, or join us at a pre-spin workshop to make your own for free! We’ll have extra costumes to dress your bike on the day of the spin too! We’re hosting this spin to promote cycling as a way to Save our Seas: reducing our reliance on cars will be a key action to minimising our carbon footprints. Also, cycling dressed up as sea creatures is fun! Smell the sea air and learn about the biodiversity of Dublin Bay at the same time with the Save Our Seas spin!

Details:

  • Pre-Spin workshop on July 2nd (time will be announced on our instagram @tbhdub)
  • Meet at The Bike Hub Dun Laoghaire Harbour (Queen’s road across from RNLI Lifeboats shop) to get into costume from 10:30-11:15. All nautical animals, plants, water themed things are welcome
  • Spin starts at 11:15, where we will head to the Fourty Foot, come back past the Lexicon, turn left up to George Street, and down to Harbour Road. We’ll make a small detour at the Marina before ending back at the Bike Hub. (See route Map here)
