Free Guided Walk. No Booking Required

This short walk will visit the reputed location of the original Dún, cross the old Dunleary Bay, visit the location of the first railway terminus in Ireland, and talk about piers, railways, roads, buildings, factories and a gasworks which reveal a rich history with impact far beyond the local area. The talk will cover the site of a Martello Tower demolished in 1835, and a preserved Martello Tower (Seapoint).

This is an outdoor event. Meet at King Laoghaire monument at entrance to Coal Harbour Car Park.
