Introduction to Aran Knitting with Mary Burnham
While you can walk into so many outlets and buy a ready-made Aran sweater there is nothing better than the satisfaction of making your own, however long it takes. In our introductory session, we will discuss all the variables, from knitting needles to wool, along with the many intricate details such as the trellis, the blackberry stitch, diamond shapes, and the tree of life. Aran knitting is a wonderful skill to learn at any age for both men and women and there are so many benefits to sitting down and making something yourself: it improves hand-eye coordination, it’s meditative and stress relieving. So come along and give it a try!
