The dlr Housing and Disability Steering Group (HDSG) was established under the National Housing Strategy for People with a Disability. The group brings together representatives from the local authority, the Housing Agency, the HSE, approved housing bodies, service providers, and individuals with lived experience.

The group recognises the importance of raising awareness about housing options and supports available to disabled people who wish to live independently.

As part of the dlr Social Inclusion Festival, the HDSG is supporting the Housing Agency’s Journey to Independent Living campaign — “Understand me, include me.”
