Fallen Soldiers: Remembering the Past.

Many soldiers from the Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown area who participated in the Great War over one hundred years ago, never returned home.

This exhibition explores the local background of some of the Irishmen who fought and died, and how they have been subsequently remembered. Their sacrifice was frequently not given due recognition.

The display draws together material from the Local Studies collection of dlr Libraries. Included in the exhibition is an important volume entitled Ireland's Memorial Records 1914-1918.
