Dublin Maker Festival

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is proud to sponsor the Dublin Maker Festival, taking place on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 August at Leopardstown Racecourse. This exciting event celebrates innovation, education, and community engagement, empowering makers of all ages to share their skills, inspire creativity, and promote a more sustainable future.
Festival Highlights Include:
🔹 DCU Solar Racing – Discover student-led innovation in sustainable engineering and solar-powered vehicles.
🔹 Ghostbusters & BB8 and Friends of the Force – Fun, interactive demonstrations that bring science fiction to life for all ages.
🔹 Tog Hackerspace & Repair Café – Learn practical repair skills and explore how community-led sustainability can make a real difference.
🔹 Liberties Weavers, Hooked on a Hive & Irish Patchwork Society – Dive into the world of textile crafts with hands-on weaving, stitching, and creative workshops.
🔹 Heritage Crafts by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Makers – Celebrate Ireland’s rich craft traditions through live demonstrations and storytelling.
