Dún Laoghaire Harbour is a beautiful 200+ year old Victorian port located 12km south of Dublin's City Centre, in the town of Dún Laoghaire. The Harbour is 23km from Drublin's international airport with excellent transport links.

 

The Harbour:

The harbour is made up of a number of key areas suitable for filming.

-East Pier

-West Pier

-Coast Guard Cottages

-Coal Harbour

-Carlisle Pier

 

Indoor Facilities:

The harbour is home to an unoccupied ferry terminal building. The building and much of its surrounds are closed to the public and accesible only via a remote-controlled vehicle access side entrance. The ferry terminal building and adjacent carpark meets port security standards with CCTV and up to 500 parking spaces.

The building is broken into a variety of areas which are available for filming production use:

-Office pods/open plan areas

-Industrial airport/ferry port like ambience

-Large open plac areas overlooking the harbour/east pier

-Kitchen pods

-Large toilet blocks

-Areas suitable for set building (high ceilings) in a secure surround

-Large selection of rooms suitable/make up/set build/catering set up/costume etc

 

Transport:

Located on the DART line (Dublin Area Rapid Transport), the harbour is 20 minutes train journey from the city centre.

N11 - Harbour located within 6km of a key route south of Dublin

M50 - Located within 7km of the M50 motorway which runs from north to south os the city. The M50 joins the airport with the south of the city.
