11 December 2023 - 25 February 2023

We are delighted to welcome you to this exhibition of youth arts by local young people. The title, theme and overall look of the exhibition was developed by a group of young people from Crosscare Youth Services, Dún Laoghaire. They collaborated with artist Ciara Keegan and were supported by youth workers to explore the different stages of putting together an exhibition. Together as a group they looked at theme, graphic design, selection of artworks and exhibition layout.

The group advertised for young people to exhibit, responding to their chosen theme Justice + Peace. This project provided a space for conversation amongst the group about what may be affecting young people today in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown area and across the world.  We invite you to think about what Justice + Peace means to you today here and now and use the response area to share your views.

Many thanks to Ashfaaq Ali Asarap Ali, Kashvi Goyal, Tamara Kane, Madhov Nambiar, Shriya Mishra, Leah O’Driscoll, Aryan Tyagi, youth workers Michelle Fullum, Anne Murphy and Sharon O’Connor in Crosscare and Ciara Boud Keegan.

The mural was created by local young people at a drop-in session in the Gallery. The response wall will evolve throughout the timeline of the exhibition. Many thanks to Shane Byrne, Patrick Garardo, Ben Doyle, Darragh McLure, Rhys Doyle Healy and Kayla O’Kelly for their work on the mural.

We hope that you enjoy this celebration of youth arts and don’t forget to look out for the events and workshops coming in early 2024!
