About this Commission
Cruinniú na nÓg is the National Day of Creativity for children and young people in Ireland. We will be celebrating the creativity of our youngest residents in 2024 with an incredibly special exhibition that will be interactive and playful.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Arts Office has partnered with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Children and Young People’s Services Committee and Shanganagh Park House Community Childcare to offer an artist/s a commission. This commission is funded by Creative Ireland and supported by the partners.

This commission is to support the development of new art for young children that is created with children from Shanganagh Park House. We will commission an artist/s to create art for the exhibition in May 2024; this will take place in the Municipal Gallery, dlr LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire. The children and early childhood educators from Shanganagh Park House will work with you to develop and inform this art. They will help you make sure that it is interactive, playful, and suitable for young children.
