Loaded Dice Theatre Company Access All Areas Award - Performance

'If you prick us do we not bleed? If you tickle us do we not laugh?' 

Loaded Dice Theatre Company presented 'Do We Not Laugh?', a comedy based on the devised work of the company's actors all of whom have an intellectual disability. The play challenged perceptions and explores the relationships and emotions of an often forgotten group of people. Following the journey of Baz, Portia and Jess in their quest to have a meaningful life.  Written and directed by the company's Artistic Directors Charlotte Tiernan and Lorna Kennedy.

Loaded Dice Theatre Company were the recipients of the 'Access All Areas' Award. This award is designed to respond to the need for better access to cultural activities at local level for people with disabilities.Loaded Dice (originally know as Run of the Mill) was formed in 2016 and is a theatre company comprised of adults with intellectual disabilities. Their aim is to create high quality theatre performances that are acessible from all perspectives. 

This award was funded by the Arts Council of Ireland.
