Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 - Temporary Closure of Queen’s Road, Dún Laoghaire

General News

Further to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic and government health restrictions regarding social distancing requirements and to facilitate the reopening of the County Council market, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council are proposing to temporarily relocate the week end markets from the Peoples Park to Queens Road between Park Road and the entrance to the Pavilion car park.

Access to the Pavilion and Lexicon car parks will be maintained during the closure.

Local Access for Pedestrians and Cyclists will also be maintained at all times.

There will be no vehicular access to Queen’s Road during the period of this closure.

The Gardai have been consulted on this temporary closure.

Queens Road will be closed from midnight on Friday to midnight Sunday starting on the weekend of the 11th / 12th July 2020 for an initial period every week end up until the 29th / 30th August 2020.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and diversions via Marine Road, George’s Street Upper and Mellifont Avenue will be signposted.
