This archaeological exhibition gives an insight into what was found on the site of the former Europa Cars Ltd, located on the corner of Newtown Avenue and Maretimo Terrace in Blackrock. The excavation was carried out under archaeological licence by Aisling Collins Archaeology Services (ACAS) over a four month period commencing in January 2022.

The dig revealed the foundations of Dove House which dates from as early as the 1700s. Most of the artefacts recovered date from the 18th and 19th centuries and provide an interesting portal into the daily lives of the residents of this house. The other major development revealed on the site were the two tram depots which were constructed at the turn of the 19th century.
