LEADER Programme

The LEADER programme is one element of the Rural Development Programme. As part of the implementation of the LEADER programme there is one Dublin Rural LEADER programme which covers selected areas within the three Dublin Local Authority areas of Fingal, South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown. The Dun Laoghaire Rathdown areas included in this programme cover the electoral divisions of Glencullen, Tibradden.and Shankill-Rathmichael.

 

The programme implementer for the programme is Fingal Leadership Partnership (Dublin Rural Leader). Funding is available under 3 themes:

 

1. Economic Development

2. Social Inclusion

3. Rural Development.

 

A Rural Taskforce has been established in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown to support the implementation of the LEADER programme in Glencullen, Tibradden and Shankill-Rathmichael electoral divisions. The Rural Taskforce will provide a strong voice for rural communities, support the development of rural Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown and optimise the impact of the Rural Development Programme.
