Intro Text

2017 AXA Roadsafe Roadshow will take place in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire on the 2nd/3rd October.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in association with AXA Insurance would like to extend an invitation to both teachers and students in Transition Year students to attend the AXA Roadsafe Roadshow.

It is important if you chose to attend that you complete the attached form and return it to the Traffic Section by 19th September 2017.

The show is free to attend, but schools will be required to organise and cover the costs associated with transporting students to and from the event.

The Council intend filling all seats for the show, so non returns by the above date will mean seats transferred to other schools.

In order to ensure ‘street cred’ amongst the young audience it is considered appropriate to display hard-hitting images and to use strobe lighting during the presentations.

The show will last approximately 70 minutes.

I trust that highlighting these points will serve to assist you in selecting pupils that you consider suitable to attend.

The Traffic and Road Safety Section believe that this is a very worthwhile event, which will hopefully leave a positive and lasting impression on the young people present.

The Council would encourage you to support our efforts, which we hope will contribute to a reduction in the number of deaths on our County’s roads.
