Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has developed a proposal for a new permanent Halting Site in Glenamuck Road and is now embarking on the statutory process, to deliver accommodation for families in the aftermath of the Carrickmines fire tragedy which took place last October. The families have been invited to discuss the plan today.
This halting site is identified for development in the Traveller Accommodation Programme 2014-2018. The plans will be on display for public consultation on the Council’s website commencing in early April as part of the Part 8 statutory planning process.
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is committed to delivering this accommodation in accordance with its Traveller Accommodation Programme subject to the statutory consultative process.
