Notification from Irish Rail - Railway Track Maintenance Works – Sandycove/Glenageary

Irish rail will be carrying out works intermittently from 25th February to the 14th June 2020. Work will take place between midnight and 5am on weeknights and until 8am on Sunday mornings.

In an effort to reduce the frequency of night-time working, train services will be shut down over the Easter and May Bank Holiday weekends. 

Every practical effort will be made to mitigate noise levels from this work. However, this major track work involves the removal and replacement of rails, sleepers, and ballast and requires the use of heavy duty on-track machinery and cutting/grinding power tools.
