DÚN LAOGHAIRE-RATHDOWN COUNTY COUNCIL COMPULSORY PURCHASE (Blackglen Road Improvement Scheme) ORDER, 2018 

An Bord Pleanála has made a Confirmation Order confirming Compulsory Purchase (Blackglen Road Improvement Scheme) Order, 2018. Click on related links to view the Confirmation Order, Deposit Maps and Schedule

The above mentioned road scheme comprises of the following:-

(A). An upgrade of Blackglen Road (approximately 1.4 kilometres in length) from Lamb’s Cross to the junction with Ticknock Road (adjacent to the M50 overbridge);

(B). An upgrade to a section of the Enniskerry Road (approximately 140 metres in length) from Lamb’s Cross to Slate Cabin Lane and including a 30 metre section of Slate Cabin Lane (as part of the junction upgrade with the Enniskerry Road);

(C). An upgrade to a section of Sandyford Road (approximately 220 metres in length) from Lamb’s Cross to Lambs Brook;

(D). An upgrade to a section of Hillcrest Road (approximately 90 metres in length) from Lamb’s Cross to the existing bridge/culvert to the east of the entrance to Hillcrest Downs;

(E). An upgrade to the junction of Harold’s Grange Road/College Road/Grange Road/Kellystown Road, including a section of Grange Road (approximately 70 metres in length) to provide a right turn lane as part of the junction upgrade;

(F). The improvement works include, inter alia, the provision of a safer road with new footpaths, cycle tracks, public lighting, new road signs and new road markings, the construction of new boundary treatments (walls, fences, railings, hedges, etc.) new entrances, connections to services, improvements to the public realm and landscaping;

(G). The construction of an underground drainage attenuation area within Marlay Park and an underground attenuation tank at Lamb’s Cross;
