dlr Biodiversity Event 2021 Mar 24th 7pm – Incredible Bats
22 March 2021
dlr County
As we continue our dlr Biodiversity Events 2021 we will learn all about the incredible group of mammals that are bats - the only true flying mammal. They are a group containing over 1,400 species (that's about 20% of all mammal species!). We will discuss the kind of bats that can be found in Ireland and of course in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown and where to find them. We will hear about where they like to hunt, what they eat, where they live, what they sound like, how to identify the different Irish species and why they are an ecologists best friend!
This Biodiversity event is in association with dlr Libraries, and will be hosted by Kevin Delahunty of the Dublin Bat Group.
