A Pay & Display Parking Control Scheme is operated within Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council's administrative area.  Pay & Display allows you to park, using prepaid tickets from parking ticket machines, in designated parking spaces on public roads and in public car parks. You may also pay for Pay & Display parking using Parking Tag. 

Parking Tag is part of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council's cashless payment system for paying for parking.

Residents and Visitors Parking Permits

Residents can apply for Residents Parking Permits and Visitors Permits, valid for use in their pay parking area.

Parking Fines         

Where a motorist has parked within a Pay and Display area and has failed to pay for parking, a Fixed Charge parking fine will be issued. Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Parking Services administer parking fines and the Parking Appeal process on behalf of the County Council.

DLR Parking Services administer parking enforcement in the Council's administrative area and appeals regarding Fixed Charge Offences are dealt with through them. If the registered owner, or their nominated driver, wish to appeal the Fixed Charge Offence, they should submit an appeal in writing/by email to DLR Parking Services during the stated statutory 56 day payment period, stating the reasons for the appeal, the vehicle registration and Fixed Charge Offence reference number. [The Fixed Charge Offence reference number is a nine digit number commencing with the letters DLR on the notice.]
