The Local Agenda 21 Environment Protection Fund is designed to facilitate sustainable development at a local level by assisting small scale, non-profit environmental projects. 

Eligible projects complement at a local level, national environmental policies such as those on Waste, Biodiversity, Climate Change, Air, Water and Sustainable Development. If you can raise awareness of and take action to mitigate environmental issues in your community you may qualify for financial assistance.

A list of previous winning projects can be viewed online at www.dccae.gov.ie

Interested parties have until 5pm on 23rd June 2017 to return completed applications.

A. Garda vetting is required for each school or youth group you work with

B. We favour on-going activities which support environmental action and awareness raising over one-off workshops

C. We are interested in activities that develop partnerships between local communities and experts particularly if there is an opportunity to support or enhance existing local or national environmental programmes and campaigns
