Intro Text

From Land to Sea - Fly Your Flag at Dún Laoghaire Harbour

dlr is extending its time for people all over the county to get involved with our Fly Your Flag initiative! We have already received lots of flags but we know there are lots more stories to tell.

We want you to tell your story about Covid-19, lockdown, what we have lost, what we have gained, and your hopes for the future and design it into a flag.

Your flag will then be flown with pride on one of the hundreds of boats in Dún Laoghaire Harbour at the end of the summer or when we can safely celebrate together.

Keep an eye out for our videos during the summer as we follow flag makers, listen to their motivations for taking part and watch their story unfold as they get ready for their flag to fly.

The Community Section has a limited number of blank flags which you can avail of.  If you wish to receive a flag so you can add you design telling your Covid story, please contact Community Section on 01 2054893 or extension number 3402.

Here are some tips on how to create your flag

Please fill in your submission form and drop your flag C/O Sandra Kelly, Community Department, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire.

Closing date: HAS NOW BEEN EXTENDED TO THE END OF SUMMER 2020 !!
