Intro Text

Now that Ophelia has passed, work is on-going across the county to ensure debris is removed and all roads are clear.

On the day of the storm 16th October, dlr staff handled 372 contacts via phone, social media and the out of hours service.  During the storm there were six roads crews, four parks crews, four cleansing crews and one dangerous buildings inspection crew working across the county ensuring the safety of all our citizens.

Brennanstown Road and Ulverton Road are currently closed, but we expect them to be open later today.

All of our parks are now open.

The dlr Sports Forum due to take place this evening (17th October) in the Blackrock Education Centre is postponed due to closure of the venue. The new date of the 14th November has been set with more details to follow.

We will keep you updated throughout the day of progress.
