Intro Text

Run by the Irish Architecture Foundation (IAF) with local management by dlr Architects, the theme for the 12th annual outing of this free celebration of Dublin's best architecture is “The City as a Stage”. It is taking place around Dublin this weekend, with the DLR events taking place this Sunday 15th

This year we have included dlr LexIcon, Killiney Obelisk, The Oratory, Seapoint Martello Tower, Dalkey Heritage Centre and the Samuel Beckett Civic Campus with Ballyogan Operations Centre.

Two housing schemes are on view, The Mews and Rochestown House, both in Sallynoggin. In Marlay Park we will have a workshop at the 'Red Jetty' as well as tours of Laurelmere and Marlay House.

There will be a children’s Architrek around the People's Park and a Walking Tour of the Metals given by UCD Architecture students to describe the projects they have on display in the LexIcon. Other non-Council tours programmed include Harbour Lodge, East Pier Battery and the Maritime Museum.

Detailed information on the full Open House Dublin programme of talks, tours and exhibitions is now available here

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has provided funding to support this year's Open House Dublin.
