Intro Text

A call to action for anyone interested in protecting our oceans, Saturday 9th June at 2.30pm beside the Lexicon Theatre, Dún Laoghaire.

11 year old beach cleaning activist, Flossie Donnelly is organising, in partnership with dlrcc a March for the Oceans. Her march is one of dozens taking place across the globe to raise awareness of the harm litter and in particular, plastic litter is causing in our oceans.

Flossie is hoping you'll join her by gathering beside the LexIcon Theatre, Dún Laoghaire at 2.30pm on Saturday 9th June, dressed in blue to create a blue wave through the streets of Dún Laoghaire. Participants are also encouraged to bring placards and banners and join us in calling for a 'Plastic Free Irish Sea'.

The march will walk past the Royal Marine Hotel, down Marine Road and onto Crofton Road before heading towards the East Pier. Flossie is hoping the event will be covered by national television and local radio stations.

Please come along and show Flossie that she's not the only person that cares about our oceans.
