Notice Of Temporary Closure Of M50 Junctions 14 To17 Southbound

Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland, has made an order in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 to temporarily close:

  • The M50 Southbound between Junction 14 (Dun Laoghaire) and Junction 17 (M11 merge).
  • The M50Junction 15 southbound merge slip road
  • The M50Junction 16 southbound merge slip road

Dates of the closure:  9th September, 2019 – 25th September, 2019.

Hours of closure:  Monday – Sunday 10pm-6am

The purpose of the closure is to facilitate the resurfacing of the pavement.

On any given night, only one carriageway direction on the M50 shall be permitted to be closed and diverted.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and diversion routes clearly signposted, as agreed with Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and An Garda Síochána.  Local and emergency access will be allowed at all times.

Diversion of M50 mainline traffic will be via the N31 Leopardstown Road, R113 Leopardstown Road, N11 Dual Carriageway and M11.

Diversion of traffic wishing to travel on the M50 southbound from Junction 15 will be via Murphystown Way and Ballyogan Road to M50 Junction 14. Traffic will proceed along the N31 thereafter as above.

Diversion of traffic wishing to travel on the M50 southbound from Junction 16 will be via R118 Wyattville Road, N11 Dual Carriageway, and M11.
