The weekend kicks off with the 2 day Beatyard Festival in Dún Laoghaire Harbour. There will be Boatyard, where you can get your Nautical boogie on in a boat. There is Eatyard with over 50 food areas, demos and workshops on. Gamesyard and Kidsyard will keep the whole family entertained with sports, games and activities.

On Saturday, you and the family can have some extreme fun taking on the 5km inflatable obstacle course in the Super Milk Wild Air Run, in Marlay Park. The hugely popular Weekly Park Runs are still on this Saturday at 9:30am in Marlay Park, Shanganagh and Cabinteely Park.

If you feel like you still have some energy left, why not take part in the local dlr Bay 10k taking place on Bank Holiday Monday? The race starts in Newtownsmith and takes you along the coast, through Monkstown, Deansgrange, and a fast finish along the coast again to bring you into Dún Laoghaire Harbour. There is a family fun run (1.5km) for the whole family to get involved in too and everyone gets a medal with the Bicentenary Commemoration. There are over 1,400 people taking part but there are still places available and you can register on the morning.

And finally, as if all that wasn’t enough, the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup touches down in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown next week with two and a half weeks packed full of rugby action at the UCD.
