Construction of the new Dun Laoghaire Baths – Rock Armour
Update: dlr Baths
As part of the construction of the new jetty, rock armour is required to be placed against it to provide protection from the sea. The rock armour is arriving to the site by barge and will be stockpiled adjacent to the new jetty until it is ready to be placed.
The off-loading operation can only be carried out typically during a 3 to 4 hour window at high tide level and it may take between 3 to 4 high tide cycles before the operation is completed – again assuming suitable metocean conditions.
During this time, there may be an increase in noise level during the off-loading operation and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
It is planned that the delivery of rock armour will commence the week of the 3rd December, assuming weather conditions are favourable.
We wish to thank you in advance for your co-operation and understanding. Please see our dlr social media accounts for future updates in relation to this operation.
