Rosie Murphy - Emerging Musician in Residence 2022

Roise Murphy composed a new contemporary work for concert harp and flute. Inspired by her interest in traditional Irish, baroque, and minimalist music, her composition included aspects of all three styles while exploring extended techniques. The music consisted of acoustic and electronic elements as it navigates new musical boundaries. Rosie worked with Dublin-based flautist Martina O’ Connell and the new work was showcased in dlr LexIcon Studio on August 5th.
