Marlay is a semi rural park with woodland, open lawns, tennis courts, and a small golf course.
Marlay Park lies between the R822 and the M50 just south of Terenure. Marlay Park is approximately 121 hectares (300 acres) and consists of mature woodland, extensive informal lawns, acres of recreational land laid out for playing pitches and passive recreation, ponds and walkways. Its size has also allowed the park to host a number of concerts, most famously the longitude concert.

The park is home to the magnificent Marlay House, built in 1794, which features a stunning ballroom, an unusual oval music room and elegant decorative plasterwork. The house has been used extensively for film locations. Marlay Park also features a formal walled garden with an orangery building, along with many of the landscape features associated with 18th and early 19th century parks. The newly restored Marlay Craft Courtyard is located beside the House.
