Rochestown House, Sallynoggin Road – Phase 2
Rochestown House originally consisted of 34 bed sit units and a communal room/dining room. The building has been fully refurbished to a very high standard and Passive House Institute ‘EnerPhit’ standard has been achieved. It now consists of 34 one bed apartments over 3 floors and a communal room/dining room. New Tenants commenced moving in on Monday 8th August 2016.
Cromlech Close, Kilternan
15 units were completed at Cromlech Close, Kilternan which consists of 6 x 1 bed and 9 x 2 bed houses and apartments. New Tenants commenced moving in on Tuesday 30th August 2016.
4 one bed units were completed at Clontibret House, Blackrock on Tuesday the 6th December . New tenants commenced moving in on the 8th December 2016.
Harbour Master Cottage (1 & 2 Queens Road, Dún Laoghaire)
2 units were completed at Harbour Master Cottage (1 & 2 Queens Road, Dún Laoghaire) which consist of 1 x 1 bed and 1 x 2 bed apartments and were handed over on the 16th of August 2017. New Tenants commenced moving in on the 16th of August 2017.
Glenamuck TAU Permanent Site
4 units were completed at Glenamuck TAU Permanent Site and tenants commenced moving in on the 1st of August 2017.
St Michaels Terrace, Dun Laoghaire
4 units consisting of 3 one bed and 1 four bed units were completed on the 6th of September 2017. New tenants commenced moving in the 12th September 2017.
The Mews, Sallynoggin Park, Sallynoggin
4 one bed units over 2 storeys were completed on Friday 8th December 2017 & New tenants commenced moving in on Monday 11th December 2017.
Temple Road, Blackrock
3 units (consisting of 2 x 2 bed duplex units and 1 x 3 bed ground floor fully accessible unit) were completed on 1st June 2018. Tenants commenced moving in on 6th June 2018.
George's Place, Dún Laoghaire
12 units consisting of 12 x 2 bed 2 storey dwellings were completed on 6th June 2018. Tenants commenced moving in on 11th June 2018.
The Brambles, Park Close, Glenageary
10 one bed units were completed on 11th June 2018. New tenants commenced moving in on the 18th June 2018. 6 of the units are fully accessible and all units have a Level Access Shower.
SCHEMES ON SITE
Rochestown House, Sallynoggin Road – Phase 3
Construction commenced on site on 07th September 2016 for 14 units consisting of 12 one bed and 2 two bed units. This is the final stage of the refurbishment and redevelopment at Rochestown House. Construction is due for completion in May 2018.
Fitzgerald Park, Mounttown, Dun Laoghaire
This site was formerly occupied by the Fitzgerald Park flat complex, which were demolished in 2006. Part 8 Planning approval was received in June 2015 and construction commenced on site on the 28th November 2016 for 50 units consisting of a mixture of 1, 2, 3 & 4 bed houses and apartments. Construction is due for completion in September 2018.
Rosemount Court, Dundrum
Construction commenced on 30th January 2017 for 44 units consisting of a mixture of 1, 2, 3 & 4 bed houses and apartments. This site was formerly occupied by the Rosemount Court flat complex which was demolished in 2011. Construction is due for completion in November 2018.
Broadford Court, Broadford Rise, Ballinteer Ave
Construction commenced on the 21st August 2017 for 21 one bed senior citizen units, Construction is due for completion in April 2019.
Park House, Dún Laoghaire
Part 8 planning permission was granted on the 10th of April 2017 for the refurbishment of the existing property and its division into four apartments 2 x 2 bed and 2 x 1 bed on the first and second floor and one commercial un.t on the ground floor. The tender package is now being prepared.

Alteration to Council Rented Dwellings - Medical Grounds
Tenants of Council rented dwellings may apply to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council for alterations to their existing dwelling to accommodate a disabled or elderly person based on medical grounds. Alterations include:
- Level access showers
- Stair lifts
- Grab rails
- Door widening
Alterations to Private Houses in lieu of Local Authority Housing
The Council may repair, improve or extend existing accommodation for approved housing applicants instead of housing them in Local Authority accommodation. It should be clearly understood that the scheme relates to private houses only. The house must be owned and occupied by a family member and the applicant must be a person accepted as being in need of local authority housing. Works carried out will result in the applicant being housed in the altered dwelling and their name will be removed from the housing list. The applicant does not have to be living in the house at the time of application but the house does have to be owned by a member of the applicant’s family.
Purpose Built Accommodation for Approved Housing Applicants – Nominee Dwelling in lieu of Local Authority Housing
The Council may construct accommodation for approved housing applicants instead of housing them in Local Authority accommodation. The applicant must transfer the title of a suitable site in their possession to the Local Authority and the Council will construct a dwelling suitable for their needs. The applicant will be a tenant of the Council. The scheme applies to approved housing applicants who are within the top 100th position of the housing list at the time of applying.
