Frequently Accessed

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council considers that, for the purposes of the proper management of waste within its functional area, and for the prevention and control of environmental pollution, it is necessary to regulate and control the storage, presentation and collection of household and commercial waste.

Bye-Laws have been made for these purposes. Anyone identified as committing an offence under these bye-laws will be issued with an on-the-spot litter fine of €75.  If the fine is not paid, the Council will take legal action through the District Court, where the maximum fine which can be imposed is €1,904.
