The Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) for 2021 was announced by the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphries T.D. on the 10th of May 2021. The CEP is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development. Please see the following link for a press release on the launch of the CEP at national level by the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, and the Minister of State with responsibility for Community Development and Charities, Joe O’Brien TD: https://www.gov.ie/en/press-release/df30e-ministers-humphreys-and-obrien-announce-45-million-to-improve-community-facilities/
This scheme has a total budget of €4.5m, with €142,108 being allocated to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.
The key theme of this year’s CEP programme is supporting groups as they re-open facilities which have been closed due to COVID-19.
The Community Enhancement Programme, which to date has supported over 8,000 projects nationally, places a focus on supporting groups in disadvantaged areas. Community Groups are invited to submit applications for the 2021 CEP Scheme through the DLR online grants submission system - https://dlrcoco.submit.com. Note that the upper limit for any grant application is set at €10,000 and the application deadline is the 16th of July 2021. All applications will be assessed by the LCDC and the applicants notified of the results in late September 2021.
Guidelines for applicants can be viewed here: https://www.dlrcoco.ie/sites/default/files/atoms/files/cep_2021_application_guidelines_-_dlr_lcdc_final.pdf
