Status:  Phase 1 and 2 completed.  Phase 3 at detailed design.

Phase 1 works are completed and the park is now open to the public.  These works included the design and development of a bioswale, wildflower meadow, a new perimeter path, the regrading and improved drainage of the field, native hedge boundary planting and the planting of over 70 specimen and native trees.  In collaboration with local residents and school children, a new apple orchard was planted which forms part of the community gardens proposed for the park. 

Phase 2 - Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Parks Department has completed its sensory garden in Hudson Road Park. It includes extensive seating and picnic areas, herbaceous and sensory planting, a competition size boules court and a community edible garden. Additional works included improved drainage, tree and meadow planting.

Works were complete in August 2020.

Phase 3 of the works will include a community sports pavilion and generous storage for sports related equipment.  Detailed design works are due to begin in 2021.
